Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 7, 2026

Quick Fill is designed to test web forms without collecting your data. Form processing and fictional data generation happen locally on your device.

1. Information we process

When you explicitly ask Quick Fill to fill or clear a form, the extension examines the structure of editable fields on the active page. This may include field labels, names, IDs, input types, placeholders, autocomplete attributes, ARIA attributes, select options and related form metadata.

This information is processed temporarily on your device only to identify fields and perform the requested action.

2. Information we do not collect

Quick Fill does not collect, transmit, retain, sell or share:

  • the values you enter into forms;
  • your browsing history or visited URLs;
  • personal, authentication or financial information;
  • analytics, advertising identifiers or tracking data.

3. Fictional data

Names, contact details, addresses, credentials and payment values created by Quick Fill are fictional and intended exclusively for software testing. Test card numbers are generated locally and must not be used for real transactions.

4. Extension preferences

Your language, country, phone format, password length, seed settings, field filters and custom rules are stored through chrome.storage.sync. If Chrome synchronization is enabled, Google Chrome may synchronize these preferences under your Chrome account and Google's applicable privacy terms.

5. Network access and third parties

Quick Fill does not use developer-controlled servers, analytics services, advertising networks or external APIs. We do not sell or transfer extension data to third parties.

6. Permissions

The extension uses activeTab and scripting to act on the current tab after your request, storage to save preferences, and contextMenus to provide right-click actions. It does not request permanent access to every website.

7. Data retention and deletion

Quick Fill does not maintain a user database. You can remove stored preferences by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling Quick Fill. Chrome Sync data is managed through your Chrome account settings.

8. Limited Use

Quick Fill's use of information is limited exclusively to providing and improving its user-facing form-testing functionality. Its use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the extension's functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
